The forthcoming Royal Enfield hybrid motorcycle, powered by a CFMoto-sourced 250cc engine, is expected to deliver a mileage of over 50 kmpl when it launches in India.
Royal Enfield is reportedly working on an entry-level premium motorcycle for the Indian market, and is in advanced discussions with China-based CFMoto to source a 250cc engine. This engine is expected to be paired with hybrid technology. The upcoming hybrid model is likely to be positioned below the Hunter 350 and could be priced around ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). While specific details remain limited, early reports suggest the 250cc hybrid bike may deliver a fuel efficiency of up to 50 kmpl — potentially the highest ever for a Royal Enfield.

The 250cc hybrid powertrain will comply with the current BS6 Phase II emission norms in India. Moreover, it is reportedly aligned with the upcoming Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFÉ) standards. The CFMoto-sourced 250cc engine is compact, fuel-efficient, and well-suited for integration with a hybrid system.
